All nine projects by QIU Inventors pick up awards at MTE 2020

Quest International University Perak (QIU) continued its winning tradition when all of its nine projects picked up awards in the Invention and Innovation Award (IIA) category at the 19th Malaysia Technology Expo 2020 held in Kuala Lumpur.

This is a fantastic achievement as it surpasses the 2019 achievement in the same expo when QIU only won 5 awards in the IIA category last year.

The 19th Malaysia Technology Expo 2020 is an international event where inventors get an opportunity to connect with the marketplace and demonstrate their ideas to various manufacturers, distributors and businesses.

The inventors get an immense opportunity to endorse their products among a crowd full of potential business buyers, private organisations and clients. Industries and professionals gather from all around the world and learn about the latest on-going inventions under one roof.

QIU inventors took it in their stride competing against more than 500 projects by government agencies such as Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI), Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) and the Malaysia Nuclear Agency.

The competition also saw the participation of almost all well-funded public and private universities in Malaysia and from abroad. They included the likes of Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Vietnam National University Universitas Gadjah Mada and many more. Rounding off the participants were those from public and private entities from as far as Croatia, Taiwan, Poland, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Launched by YB Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Bin Yusof, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Malaysia, the expo also saw QIU bag the best booth design award. Our inventors also received a boost when all 9 projects received the award of merit by the Republic of Croatia.

Congratulations to all our participating students and academics who were imperative in bringing about this success. Thank you for putting the QIU name in lights again!
